faṣl

فصل means both a season and a school class — context tells you which. Here it is the four seasons.«فصل» تعني الفصل من السنة وتعني الصف الدراسي، والسياق يوضح المقصود.

Using it الاستعمال

Which season do you like?أيُّ فصلٍ تحبّ؟
I like spring because the weather is mild.أحبُّ الربيعَ لأنَّ الطقسَ معتدل.
There are four seasons in the year.في السنةِ أربعةُ فصول.
Summer is the hottest season.الصيفُ أحرُّ الفصول.

Season names carry the article: في الصيف, في الشتاء. Say في الصيف, never في صيف.أسماء الفصول تأتي معرَّفة: «في الصيف»، «في الشتاء».
