حديقة on its own is a garden; add عامة and it is a public park. The adjective follows the noun and agrees with it.«حديقة» بستان، و«حديقة عامة» متنزَّه، والصفة تتبع الموصوف وتطابقه.

Using it الاستعمال

• There is a big park in my town.توجدُ حديقةٌ عامةٌ كبيرةٌ في مدينتي.
• We play football in the park.نلعبُ كرةَ القدمِ في الحديقة.
• The park is next to the school.الحديقةُ بجانبِ المدرسة.
• I like the park because it is quiet.أحبُّ الحديقةَ لأنها هادئة.

Both words agree

حديقة is feminine, so عامة is feminine too — and if you define it, both take الـ: الحديقة العامة.«حديقة» مؤنثة فتُؤنَّث صفتها، وعند التعريف تدخل «ال» عليهما معًا.
